Better than fishing

Steve Grover floats a super smooth frontside ollie at Pier Park on our last trip to Oregon

I haven’t been able to do much of anything since the weekend because I’ve been ill. Between trying to keep up with the day job and coughing up a lung just getting through the day has been a chore. When I did find myself out and about on Sunday afternoon I stopped by the Ballard Bowl and had a couple of runs around it in my hazy state just because I was in the neighborhood. Not the best day skating by any means. Among my crew of skater friends we like to say that, “The worst day skating is better than, the best day fishing.” And that, is a fact.
So to all our friends around the world who are stuck inside and not able to skate due to snow, rain, sleet, or just being ill, I say… Get it while you can and, at least, you’re not fishing. Those of you in the southern hemisphere better be getting some good skating in while we wait for our summer in the north. Meanwhile enjoy this sick Steve Grover frontside ollie. Go get it!

Road Trip!

The Oh My Back crew (if you can call us that) will be hitting the road for Memorial Day weekend and heading to Lincoln City, Oregon. We have rented a beach house (it’s full so don’t ask) and hitting spots to skate on the way down from Seattle and on the way back.

If you’re considering doing this with us you better get on top of reservations for campsites, beach houses or hotels for the trip because it’s a big travel weekend.

We hope to see you there! We are going to have so much fun!!!
